The first Witcher video will be available to watch today. In 5 hours. 11 AM EST. 

Hello all. Hope you're doing well.

Unless my computer breaks there will be a video for you to watch on Return of the Obra Dinn tomorrow around 11 AM EST. It's a great game and I'm mostly positive about it. The video is 20 minutes long.

This is going to be one of a few videos that will be released in the next while. I thought it'd be a good time to give an update about what's happening and when The Witcher video is coming.

First off we're very happy to say that our third child arrived safe and healthy. Kate was born on the 16th of June at 11:46PM, just in time for it to still be Father's Day in Canada. Lili is doing great and our boys are already fussing over their little sister.

I've been working on many projects simultaneously to prepare for both the arrival of the baby and to do a last focused crunch on The Witcher video to pull it all together. This hasn't been as successful as I wanted it to be but it hasn't been a total failure either. I have the following videos on topics / games either partially or mostly finished:

A video on my 2018 GotY (which is not Celeste or God of War—it's a surprise!)

That's quite the list and that's part of the problem. I have footage ready for all of these, finished recorded scripts on six of them, first draft scripts complete on four others, and partial scripts on the rest. There are also some extensive notes and footage I have on games like They Are Billions and Undertale and Resident Evil 2 Remake but let's not touch those for now.

I could probably finish all of these and The Witcher video this year since they're all so far into production but I don't want to risk it. Instead I'm going to queue in the four or five that are the closest to finished:

Sekiro
2018 Video
and possibly the GotY video.

After that I'm going to only work on The Witcher. I've been playing those three games and writing while working on these other videos. My current estimate is that I need one month of *uninterrupted* work to finish that but I haven't had an uninterrupted month since the God of War video, and we just welcomed our new baby.

So here's what I think is fair to expect: there will be 4-5 videos over summer with Baba is You and Sekiro next month. The Sekiro video is fairly long and it's a script I wrote and have been editing since the game first came out—sort of aging is as time passes since release. That will be the only "event" video in this time and after those videos there will be nothing, and none of my work time will go to anything else, until the Witcher video is completed. The only exception might be the occasional stream but those won't be returning to the normal schedule until the Witcher video is done either.

The current plan is still to have it be one video but with the length and file size limitations on uploads I may have to split it up just to get it on YouTube. But we'll burn that bridge when we come to it.

I hope that's acceptable—or, if not, at least understandable. This process has been quite frustrating for me since I feel the pull of feeding the YouTube engine while also wanting to finish the big goliath project. I don't think I handled this terribly but it could have been better. Plus there's a whole other thing going on right now which I can't talk about yet which is also a huge factor. It'll make sense one day I promise.

Thanks everyone. I know many of you want a Sekiro video even more the Witcher. I hope you like it. And for those who only want Witcher and for that chapter to finally be closed—well, you'll be seeing that much sooner than you'll be burning Night City with Keanu Reeves.

Hey everyone. Merry Christmas!

I wanted to post some info and also give a warning about the video that is going live later today: it is not a critique/analysis/review and is instead a heavily edited Persona 5 stream compilation that was made by someone who isn't me. It's a different type of content and zero of my time goes toward it--I'm concerned that some people may think it's taking time away from the usual content, and that it may be jarring at first. I'm hoping it's acceptable and that most will enjoy it as a break from the usual stuff. Since uploads are so infrequent and that none of my time goes to making these it can be something for the channel between other videos.

The next videos will be a quick one on Ashen, a slightly bigger video on Fallout 76, and then a continuation of that smaller type of content since I am currently working on The Witcher video. I can't commit to bigger videos during this time so the goal is two short videos per month--while I work on The Witcher between those quick ones. This started in November and already ran into issues this month when I had to play Fallout 76 for way longer than I thought. I guessed it'd be safe since I played so much Fallout 4 but nope I was wrong. I've played 76 for almost 76 hours.

For some other stuff: I have a "One Year Later" type video for Hollow Knight close to finished. I also had one almost done on The Messenger but I'm holding onto that now after DLC was announced for it. I have two other scripts complete but I'm not happy with them just yet. There's a lot of concurrent work going on and that isn't how I usually do things, but it's working out since the videos are so short.

So that's what's going on. Unfortunately I will not be giving out any estimates on The Witcher progress since I have learned my lesson in the past when speaking about the large video projects. I can never judge it properly, and this is three games plus dlc plus the books. It'll be harder to judge than ever.

Alright! So it's been a couple of weeks since that movie was released. In case you missed it, I've linked it below.

I wanted to say a quick thank you for all of the comments. I've read all of them. Most positive response has been to the more detailed video editing. That took a lot of time. For some games it may not be possible but going forward I'd like to attempt something similar with all big videos. The most suggested response was that the video should have some chapter breaks. I may try to add these soon but for longer videos in the future I'll be going back to the Breath of the Wild format. I prefer things to flow but I think we can compromise.

I'm over halfway done the next video--because it's small. Expect these and a new feature being the meat of the channel until The Witcher series is done. That will be the next big video. Witcher 1, 2, 3, the DLC, and the books. I don't know when it will be finished because it's such a huge project. But all other big ones are on hold until that's finished.

Alright so I have no idea what this Community tab is and I just got an email about it so maybe it's an announcement box? Who knows, here goes: the next video will be out tomorrow at noon EST (Thursday the 11th). So 27 hours from when I'm typing this. No idea if people will be able to see this or get notified. Yes even my experimental trial posts like this go on for this long. The video is on Mario Odyssey and it's 2 hours. I hope you like it.
