[ #WhyScorpène ] ⚓ Scorpène is stealth by design. Her main appendages are small and streamlined to avoid cavitation. Control and steering have been minimised or eliminated to avoid vibrations and the continuity of her shape eliminates any wake disturbances.

[ #DIDYOUKNOW ] ⚓ The albacore shape of the Scorpène makes her one of the quietest conventional submarines in the 🌐.

The shape favours her hydrodynamic behaviour and contributes to acoustic discretion by reducing the radiated noise. 🤫 #WhyScorpène

⚓ The repair and transformation works on the SSN Perle is a world first. An important layout work of the junction area has been carried out using a 3D digital model of the Perle, realised by a team of five design integrators.

Our design integrators created a digital twin of the area, in which they defined the pipe and cable routes, the supports that will hold the pipes and cables, etc.

This 3D model will also allow the electricians and pipe fitters to rehearse their movements in virtual reality before carrying out the operations on board.
