Dr Patihis is a British-American academic at the University of Portsmouth. He teaches a module in the forensic psychology course there. His dissertation involved memory distortions in superior memory individuals. False memory researcher Elizabeth Loftus was the chair of his dissertation, & memory of emotion researcher Linda Levine was a committee member. He has researched highly superior autobiographical memory, false memories, memories of emotion, and trauma and dissociation. He has published in many peer reviewed journals, including The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Psychological Science, Clinical Psychological Science, & Perspectives in Psychological Science.
