Standing by the Cross, Mary watched her Son suffer. John 19:26 –27 says Jesus gave her to us as our Mother: “Woman, behold your son.”

This week, wonder with us:
— “How does Jesus feel when we show our love for His mother, Mary?”
— “What is the love like between Our Lady and Jesus?”

This week’s word is faith. Mary stood by Jesus at the Cross, trusting in God’s plan even during heartbreak. She is our example of unwavering faith, and she leads us closer to Jesus.

In the Mission, you’ll discover the many titles of Our Lady — like Our Lady of Lourdes or Our Lady of Guadalupe. Pick your favourite title, learn about it, and use it in prayer. Let Mary’s faith inspire you to stay close to God, no matter what.

Find out more about St Carlo’s life. Just like the saint himself, you can research on the internet and create a project to share with others.

Make sure to include some of the amazing things that Saint Carlo said and you could even add some of the latest news about his canonisation, the celebration of him being made a saint in Rome.

This week, wonder with us:
— “What made Carlo Acutis want to follow Jesus, even when his family didn’t?”
— “Why did Carlo love the Eucharist so much?”

This week’s Word of the Week is mercy. Jesus appeared to His friends—even Thomas who doubted—and offered peace instead of judgment.

That’s mercy: giving love and forgiveness when we don’t deserve it.

Your Holy Week Mark 10 Mission is to be with Jesus by the cross. This may be when you go to Mass and see Jesus held up in the Eucharist.

It can be sitting quietly in prayer, picturing Jesus on the cross in front of you. Either way, you can speak to Jesus in your heart there.

Share a prayer with him as he sacrifices himself to take away the sins of the world.

At the Last Supper, as He looked around at His friends, Jesus knew what was coming—yet He gave everything out of love.

This week, wonder with us: Why does Jesus choose to come to us through bread and wine? How do you think Jesus felt as he shared the meal with his friends?

As we get closer to Holy Week, we focus on the word ‘passion’ — a word that speaks not just of suffering, but of deep love. Jesus’ Passion shows us how far He was willing to go for each one of us. Through the Last Supper and the Cross, He gave everything to bring us back to the Father.

We are entering Passiontide, the final two weeks of Lent. The statues and icons in churches are covered in purple cloth, a sign that the sorrow of Holy Week and Jesus’s crucifixion will soon be remembered.

This week, spend time with Jesus. Imagine sitting with Him at the table as He shares the bread and wine. Picture Him looking at you from the cross — with love, not anger.

Jesus surprised everyone in the Gospel with His answer of love. Your Mark 10 Mission is to think of someone you know and to do something kind for them that they aren’t expecting.

Maybe helping your brother or sister with their homework, unloading the dishwasher, leaving a little note or card for someone who needs cheering up.

How can you bring the surprise and gift of love to someone you know?

In front of the angry crowd, the woman felt afraid and ashamed. But when she looked into Jesus’ eyes, everything changed.

This week, wonder with us: How did the woman feel in front of the angry crowd? When she looked at Jesus's face, how was it different to the others?
