I recently posted a video ( https://youtu.be/uIfutDqxj6c ) sharing how Amazon has stopped allowing vendors to sell microneedling pens. I shared in the video that I would likely be buying some of those types of products on Temu, as it appears to be the only option. It's been difficult to find out what's going on and why it's so hard to find the pens and cartridges. So, I spent the day researching this. 

I just found out the FDA is conducting a post-market review of microneedling devices like Dr. Pen. I had no idea about the FDA's review when I made this video.  According to a disclaimer on the Us Dr Pen site, they say that these products, including the cartridges, are now intended for use by licensed healthcare professionals for treating things like acne scars. Nano cartridges, which are designed for skin exfoliation and cosmetic use, are still available for general consumer use. I only discovered this when on this website:  https://us.drpen.co/products/dr-pen-m8s-microneedling-pen  (look right below the "add to cart" button).

I wanted to let you know that the availability of these products on popular platforms is likely to change very soon. Amazon and Aliexpress have already removed them, and I’m assuming Temu will do the same thing very soon. I am not sure if they can restrict the countries they sell to. If so, I assume they will restrict the sale of the items to those in the U.S. Currently, I have seen numerous resellers selling the cartridges on there and listing them as 0.25 depth - probably to try to get away with making it look like it's for cosmetic (not medical) use. I am not sure. 

Prior to discovering this, I had reached out to numerous manufacturers. When I was inquiring with a couple of them through Alibaba, I also got a notification that I could not request sample products of their microneedling devices because they are listed as restricted/prohibited. 

I will continue to research and share updates on my website and I'll later make a post on Reddit about this too. You can find and follow me there if interested. I haven't managed to post about this on my site yet, as I spent the day investigating. But, I will do that early this week with full details.
