Feels really damn good getting back into singing songs live. Played the I Hate Cowboys record and the Go Down Singin record at Chiefs Thursday and Friday. If I'm being honest with y'all playing acoustic was the most fun I've had in a long time. Probably gonna do more stuff like this this year, thanks to everybody who came out. 

Our last day of duck season for the year. Couldn't be happier with Jack and the season he had. I got him to be a duck dog but he's become my best friend and the adventures we've gotten into together are days I'll never forget. He's got his first bit of gray comin into that face and he's earned every bit of it. Til this fall little buddy, get you some rest. 

Kid earned every bit of his fireplace bed. Had him an absolute day. 

FULL DISCLOSURE, @pat_spinosa DID NOT KILL THIS BANDED BIRD. I'm retired from music for the month of January to get as many ducks for Jack as possible but mornings like today make it all worth it. Limit of birds before 9 and a band. Can't thank @crashlandingoutdoors for the awesome morning. 

We wrote Arkansas after last duck season without ever hunting Arkansas together. Rob and I finally got together in the timber and made the song come true. Appreciate ya Rob Baird, you're one of the real ones🤘🏼 

Well, today my motor blew in my truck in South Georgia on my way to Arkansas and Oklahoma with just 17 hours to go. No problem. I hitched a ride to Tifton, Kip Moore you know a thing about Tifton. I learned about 16 year old Tori's pitbull named Bolt, her being ready for her cap and gown cause she's graduating early, heard two Kane Brown songs, Luke Combs, Bailey Zimmerman, Hardy and some classic Sam Hunt, Sam miss ya buddy. Nothin like a road trip for ducks and the adventures it brings. Oh yea, Jack slept the whole way, we survived to die another day. Appreciate the ride🤘🏼

P.S. none of my songs played on Tori's playlist, we'll talk about that another time. 

Jack had himself a great post Christmas morning back here in Georgia. This place has been home to him while I'm on tour ever since he was a puppy, they've trained him every second I haven't had him and I can't say enough good things about the job they've done. Hell they've even trained me! He's the first dog I've ever had in my life and when he becomes a daddy his boys and girls will train down here too. If you have a dog that you want to be absolutely dialed send them here. Can't thanks Brad and Carter enough for my little master hunter.
