There is an outstanding Saltwater Expo running today and tomorrow March 15 and 16th at the New Jersey Convention and Expo Center in Edison, NJ.  It features over 300 vendors and includes the major manufacturers like Daiwa, Shimano, Penn and Pure Fishing.  If this is convenient for you, you may want to check it out.  The expo runs from 10 in the morning until 10 in the evening both days.  I plan to be there tomorrow, Sunday from 10 until 1PM at one of my fishing club's booths located at space 111 or 113.  Come by and say Hello if you are attending in the morning 

The tariff effect is happening.   Van Staal Reels,  which are made in China, is the first to reflect the price increases 
I suspect all Pure Fishing reels (they own Van Staal, Penn, Shakespeare, ABU and others) will follow suit shortly

Retail prices of ALL Van Staal reels and pliers will increase on Thursday, March 20, 2025.
This price will be enforced on all authorized Van Staal retailers across the country, and the increase will average around 5%.
That is up to a $40 increase--so we're giving you a heads up, to grab them BEFORE the 20th!
