Subscriber appeal - Viewing figures are very down! 

I’m not sure why but almost nobody is watching anymore. Other channels doing similar stuff are having a lot more of a success in terms of views and subscribers…

And I like to do it in a more professional way - I don’t like talking in videos so you can hear the real sounds, and I like to show detail, such as serial plates - which many don’t! 

This needs to pick up, because it takes a lot of effort travelling to these locations and taking the videos, so it’s difficult to justify that when they’re getting so few views now. 

On May 9th it will be 1 year since my channel began. Please continue to help supporting me to grow it further! Thank you 🙂 

Ok. The Netherlands tour has come to an end for now! (I still have videos to upload but they’ll come later on)…

So before I start uploading any newer content, I’m going back through my other trips abroad and finding the videos I can post without editing. There’s alot more on the way from all over. 👍 

Netherlands tour - final push for now!

My trip to the Netherlands in late 2024 was very busy for filming, as you’ll see by the amount of videos in the playlist…

I’m now focusing on pushing the uploads into here before clearing my camera and going to
focus on other videos.

Stay tuned, I have many good escalators to drop today and tomorrow and it’ll be a time of many uploads - including all the rest of the 1990s extension at the end of the metro line 50/51 extension from Amstelveenseweg towards Isolatorweg with all the remaining O&K escalators still to upload. And lots of the Rotterdam Centraal station escalators… 

Falling Views…

Recently I have started uploading in bulk again. Please make sure to not miss any good content - sometimes I’m uploading upto 10 videos a day. There’s some very good escalators and places worth seeing.

So, why am I uploading a lot now?

It’s been a very busy period this last few months and I’ve not had time or access to my computer for a lot of it. But, things are at a quieter point now. And most importantly - I’m trying to clear my video backlog so that I can go back out and get many more new videos.

After a busy period and a dry spell for uploading, I’m returning to posting in full swing! Get ready for multiple uploads a week again and to see some of the best escalators around. 

As always, I need your support and encouragement! Give me locations to visit, comment on my videos and tell me what you enjoyed seeing and what else you want to see. 

Next week I am going out filming too so I’ll hopefully build up more of a video reserve again. Then it’ll be holiday time and off back to Germany and hopefully Australia among other places 😁

A huge thank you to all of my subscribers - each and every one of you are appreciated and I hope to be able to bring you more escalator content in 2025 and beyond…

I have had a slowdown in filming this last month or so, it’s been a busy work period, I am also in the process of buying a house 🏡 (should be in by mid January) and of course the busy shops over Christmas make filming difficult anyway.

BUT; 2025 is exciting! Once I’m in the new house and other things slow down, I intend to go back out filming in full swing! I need your help…

Why? Location Location!! The best escalators are disappearing fast as shops close or downsize, metro systems modernise etc, but with your help in telling me where to visit, I can try and get to them! I’m a huge fan of O&K and Kone (mostly the 1980s-2010 period). But also Thyssen (and Rheinstahl), OTIS and Schindler have made some awesome ones!

If you know of any O&K escalators or Travelators or Kones from the early 2000s too, please send me ALL the locations you can! Germany 🇩🇪 will be a priority for me this year, as will a few other European 🇪🇺 places, more of the UK 🇬🇧 and I hope to visit some of Australia 🇦🇺 too!

Christmas shopping?

We’re now into December, the typical shopping season in the run up to Christmas! 🎄 
That got me thinking - let’s go back through this year’s videos and upload some more escalators in retail environments (malls, department stores etc)…

There’s plenty of good ones coming as well as the ones I’ve already uploaded. Keep an eye 👁️ out, there’ll be a lot of videos on the way. When it’s cold 🥶 outside, you’ll be able to stay in the warm and watch some of the best escalator videos here! An escalator a day keeps the winter blues away (hopefully!!). Enjoy 🎁

1000 Subscribers - Thank you!!! 🤩 

So, today I’ve reached 1000 Subscribers which I’m very happy for. I created this channel on May 9th 2024 and uploaded my first video on May 10th - meaning that I’ve reached this within 6 months (my original target 🎯)! 

I wasn’t sure how to mark it. So I thought I’d go through my archives and find some old footage I made years ago. Ok… The quality is not great and if I was filming it today, I’d definitely do a better job - But the content is interesting and I’d rather share these with you all as hopefully you enjoy them…

So within the next 2 days 4 ‘One from the Archives’ videos will appear. 🙂
