What do we do here on Cheap Homesteading? We try to live in the most sustainable way possible we seed start in the spring. Grow most of the year in my high tunnel greenhouse.we have a big garden. That is a big part of being more self sufficient I am a equipment mechanic so there are many videos about tractor repairs and how to videos. DIY videos are a large part of the channel. We work on Massey,John Deere and Kubota. A big part of keeping costs dawn and saving money is Cutting Firewood for the season. We have a bush lot that we harvest the trees from we use the wood for firewood mainly but we make lumber withe our Alaskan sawmill. My favourite brand of chainsaw by far is Husqvarna but we run STIHL and chines clone saws. Another big part of the homestead is livestock we have chickens for eggs. We are getting goats and sheep.
