Interceptor catch results for the first quarter of 2025 are in, and it's looking promising. 🚀

Fun fact: our catch in Q1 2025 is the same as our total river catch in 2019-2022.

Big shoutout to everyone who supports our mission by sharing our updates, making a donation, or partnering with The Ocean Cleanup.

Another strong performance from Interceptor 007, capturing plastic to keep it out of the Pacific Ocean and away from the coastlines of LA County during last weekend’s storms in California. Our operators are currently offloading and confirming the total amount caught - stay tuned for updates.

Interceptor 007 is up and running in Ballona Creek, LA County, USA.
Facing the first major rain event of its deployment, Interceptor 007 successfully extracted plastic and other debris to full capacity - all waste that would otherwise be heading for the Pacific Ocean right now.

We'll continue to optimize Interceptor 007 during its pilot project over the next two storm seasons. The first steps deal with minor leakage and catch management issues to increase efficiency and keep even more plastic out of the Pacific.
