Tetrachromats can see a number in this Ishihara plate (though not digitally). M'/'L' tetrachromats, with a 4th "yellow" cone type (peak: ~550nm), can distinguish between a red/green "yellow" and a pure yellow, and many more extraordinary hues. Normal trichromats cannot see any number on this plate.

My next video will be about how to test for (true-red non-retinal) tetrachromacy and how tests for tetrachromacy should be designed.

There will be a new video soon! Here's a small sneak peek: This is an image that shows the 2-dimensional true-red tetrachromatic main hue categories on the hexagonally depicted surface of an unfolded sphere.

Color in Color is the first software that can fully functionally correct every dichromacy. This correction functionality includes protanopia, deuteranopia and tritanopia. In the images you can see an example of a protanopia correction template with no recurring "impossible" color combinations (i.e. all "impossible" color combinations are new & unique colors). Screenshot 2 is designed for stereo-viewing.

(The screenshot shows the current iteration of the Color in Color application and are subject to change until release.)

You can now play around with the 6-dimensional hypercube (6 dimensions of color) of human (non-retinal/binocular) hexachromacy on "www.color-in-color.info". Here's the link: https://www.color-in-color.info/impossible-colors/human-hexachromacy The HTML application is designed for stereo-viewing.

I'm currently in the process of developing "Color in Color" again.

Here's a screenshot of a spider in Minecraft with *red-green* eyes.

The screenshot shows the PC mode of "Color in Color" where you can watch customizable impossible color combinations via stereo-viewing (i.e. cross-/parallel-viewing). Below the two displays you can see how the normal hue spectrum has been customized.

My next video will be about "true red tetrachromacy". Here's a little sneak preview. (Original unedited image source: Wikipedia, "Color vision").
