✨ Making Magic in 2025 ✨

My word for this year is magic. For me, it’s about taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary—blessing others with the time, energy, and abilities God has given me. Every resource, every moment of kindness, every bit of energy I have comes from Him, and my hope is to use those gifts to spread light and inspire others to do the same.

Last week, I had the privilege of creating a little magic for a student whose birthday coincided with a really difficult part of their family history. It was clear that this day was going to be heavy for them, so my family and I came together to surprise them with some unexpected joy.

I brought their favorite pizza and drink, my wife decorated the pizza box with balloons and confetti, and my daughter made a beautiful handmade card. The look on their face and the emotions they shared were unforgettable.

What struck me most was the reminder of how small, intentional acts can ripple outward. That simple moment not only uplifted my student but completely transformed my day, too. Suddenly, the usual chaos—challenging student behavior, work stress, scheduling issues—felt like they couldn’t touch me. Kindness has a way of doing that; it creates a shield of joy.

This year, I want to lean into more moments like this—moments that turn the ordinary into something magical. My hope is that it inspires others to create their own magic, big or small. You never know what kind of difference you’ll make.

What’s one way you could bless someone with a little unexpected magic this week? 💫
