Spurgeon (1834 – 1892), known as the "Prince of Preachers," was a beloved English preacher who ministered at the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London for nearly 40 years. Among his timeless writings, he authored two daily devotional series: "Morning & Evening: Daily Readings" and "Faith's Checkbook" (or "Chequebook of the Bank of Faith" in the UK). One notable story of Charles Spurgeon's influence is the conversion of Oswald Chambers, the author of "My Utmost for His Highest," who gave his life to God after hearing Mr. Spurgeon preach when his family moved to London.
