Cheesy grin! 😁

I drew this dog as a real time drawing tutorial

It is a total of 10 hours long (broken into 30-40 minute videos) where I narrate the entire thing and best of all…

…ITS FREE

If you’d like to learn exactly how to draw short haired dogs with graphite pencils from scratch…

Done with some of the cheapest coloured pencils I own!! 🔥

This parrot is drawn using Ohuhu Halawa pencils

They honestly blew my mind!! 🤯

At just £0.50/pencil (oppose to £3.00+/pencil for my usual pencils)…

…I was able to get a super vibrant and saturated drawing!!

These made me so happy as I’ve been looking for an affordable pencil to recommend to beginners…

…and these Ohuhus are the ones!! 🙌

I’ve recently been sent the new Ohuhu Halawa pencils and I’m testing them by drawing a parrot…

…they are super budget friendly at just £37/$49 for the set of 72 and they are honestly blowing my mind!!

Without giving away too much (will have the full review video out Friday)…

…the blending is about 5x better than I expected and the colours are just as bright as the more expensive pencils!

Looking forward to working on this some more tomorrow! 🗓️

My car drawings aged 14 vs 19 ✏️

The Ford GT Le Manns I drew when I was 14 was actually my 1st ever attempt at drawing a car…

Now 5 years later I have drawn A LOT more cars!

So I decided to redraw this Ford GT using the exact same reference photo that I used when I was 14!

It took 5x longer to do this “new” one (10 hours)

My drawing of the LEGO Ferrari F1 car! 🔥

Surprised myself with this one! 🤩

LEGO has recently bought out the entire field of F1 cars…

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to draw all of them BUT…

I recently asked which one you’d like me to draw next:

- Ferrari

Or

- Redbull

It was close but Ferrari won! 🏆

It took me a total of 33 hours to complete this drawing using:

- A2 Strathmore Bristol paper

- Ohuhu Honolulu markers

- Faber Castell Polychromos

- Caran D’ache Luminance pencils

Spent 5 hours doing the base layer today bringing the total drawing time to 9 hours (actually getting through this quicker than I thought I would!)

It is done using Ohuhu Honolulu markers!

An overview of how I did this is as follows...

- outline the edges of a few pieces in an area using the sharp edge of the chisel tip

- add where all the shadows need to go with a slightly lighter marker than what I did the outlining with

- go over the entire area with a very light marker (occasionally using some intermediaries to smooth out some of the gradients!)

- repeat.

This makes the pencil work later a lot easier as I already know where all the main colours and tones need to go!

I'll go into more detail in the video I'll be putting out next Friday at 3:00pm GMT

and so it begins…

LEGO has obviously bought out some new F1 speed champions

I recently put out a pole asking which I should draw next:

Ferrari or Redbull?

It was close BUT Ferrari got the win!

Today is day 1 of drawing it and I managed to finish the sketch! ✏️

It was tough though…

(LEGO made sure to add it’s fair share of stickers)

This made it annoying to build BUT even harder to draw! 😳

Taken 4 hours so far...

I recently put Caran D'ache Luminance pencils against Amazon Basics "Premium" Coloured pencils

The Caran D'ache (left) are $5.65/pencil

The Amazon Basics (right) are $0.17/pencil

I started with the Caran D'ache side and (not surprisingly) they were very good...

...the blending was really smooth and the colours were super vibrant!

When it came to doing the cheap side, they honestly shocked me...

Without giving too much away, the blending and colour vibrancy weren't as bad as I'd expected...

I've just published the FULL video of this test and you can watch it using the link down below 👇

Enjoy.
