Today marks one year since I launched HowToLearnExcel—and honestly, it’s hard to put into words what this journey has meant to me. Starting a YouTube channel while juggling a full-time job and personal life was already a challenge… but doing it all during a war adds a whole different weight to things.

There were nights when I stayed up late recording or editing, only to hear air raid alarms or the buzz of attack drones outside. It’s hard to focus when your reality is constantly being interrupted like that. Still, I kept going. Not because it was easy—but because I truly believe that sharing knowledge, even in small pieces, is still worth it. Especially now.

Sometimes I wondered if anyone was even watching. But then I’d read your comments. Or see a like pop up. Or hear how a quick Power Query trick saved someone hours at work. And suddenly, it all felt meaningful again.

So thank you—for being here. For learning with me. For reminding me that teaching Excel is more than just formulas and tables—it’s about connecting, growing, and pushing through, even when life gets tough.

And a heartfelt thank you to everyone around the world who continues to support Ukraine during these grim and uncertain times. Your help truly matters.

Hey everyone! 😊

I’m sitting here in complete awe because we’ve officially hit 5,000 subscribers on the HowToLearnExcel channel! This milestone means so much to me, and I just want to take a moment to share a little bit about how we got here and to say a huge THANK YOU for being part of this amazing community.

When I first started creating content, it was all about those quick, quirky shorts—just simple tips and tricks to help make Excel more accessible. I never expected it to grow the way it has, but your feedback and support pushed me to do more. Over time, the channel began to shift and evolve, and I realized that what really excited me—and what you guys seemed to love—was diving deeper into Power Query.

That’s when we launched the Power Query Challenges series. 🚀 This series has been a game-changer for both me and the channel. What started as a handful of videos to explore some cool Power Query tricks quickly turned into a full-blown challenge series, and it’s been incredible to see so many of you get hooked on mastering Power Query alongside me.

As much as I’ve fallen in love with Power Query (it’s such a powerful tool!), I also want to continue exploring all kinds of Excel topics. From data analysis to pivot tables, VBA, and even charting, the journey is far from over, and I can’t wait to keep expanding on everything Excel has to offer. There’s always something new to learn, and I’m here for it!
