Hey Friends, We moved to this new off-grid property to get into Modern Homesteading in January of 2016. We are living in rural Maine on 12 acres & have a small farm of chickens, raised beds & in-ground gardens that we are slowly expanding every year. We are in growing zone 4a, so our growing season is short. We cut & split our own firewood, and our soapstone wood stove is the only heat we have in the cold winters of Maine. Our home is not your traditional off-grid home. It has all the amenities a regular on-grid home has. It's not a Tiny House. We share how we live off-grid & homestead our way & use our Kubota L2501 Tractor to help make things easier & plow or long road to our home.
