The name of Slave I, Jango Fett’s personal Firespray-class starship, was a testament to the horrors Fett had endured in his past. After his people, the True Mandalorians, were massacred in the Battle of Galidraan, leaving Fett the only survivor, Galidraan’s governor had sold him into slavery. Fett lived for years as a slave before escaping and becoming a bounty hunter. Years later, Fett named the Slave I as a sort of memorial to what he had gone through - and what he had triumphed over.
