𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐮 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐚

I’m gonna be real with you guys…I have struggled with this post and rewritten it several times over as I worked through how I’m going to communicate the right way to you.


Eventually…I decided I’m just going to be as plain as possible:

After much prayer and consideration, we believe that God is leading us to return to Papua New Guinea this year. During our last visit, 51 people got saved after just a week of evangelizing. We know that Papua New Guinea is a very fruitful mission field. Following our trip last year, the lost souls in PNG have been very heavy on our hearts. We have been praying and considering how we were going to effectively reach them by partnering with the faithful saints in Papua New Guinea.

We truly feel God leading us to this ministry, and we want to return to PNG later this year to engage in a large-scale outreach…but we don’t have the funds or the resources to do it alone.

For this outreach, we need to raise $65,000.

Here is our outline explaining the as of right now, which we covered in detail in our latest magazine issue:

“After the youth rally, we had a pastor’s conference so that I could answer biblical questions. It was a sweet time of prayer and vision casting for future ministry opportunities…I asked them how they believed we could work together in a way that we would strengthen our respective ministries in the work of the gospel. After much discussion, we determined that if God is willing, the next work we would engage in together would be an outreach in the coastal town of Madang. They do not have an official church plant there, but they do have a small group of believers that meet together and would like to start a church. That small group of believers has secured a piece of property in town that they would like to use for outreach and, eventually, build their church on it.

This next part is where I would like you guys to get involved:

I would like to buy a large circus tent that will seat around 400 people and ship it to Madang, where we will put it up for our first church meeting. I would like to purchase sound equipment, lighting, and printed materials in preparation for that outreach.

Once all of these pieces are in place, I want to put together a team of young people and families that would go to the field with me and serve in this outreach. We would split the team up, with half of them venturing into the mountains for a weeklong circuit of the churches in the Simbai region. The other half of the team would stay in town, where we would set up the tent, assemble the stage, and preach in the marketplace. The town team would spend time inviting the crowds to attend our meetings the following week.

At the end of the second week, we would have a baptism and see the planting of the local church. All of the equipment would be packed up and stored so that this could be repeated annually or biannually in other areas around PNG.

We would need to raise around $65,000 to purchase equipment, literature, do our shipping, rent a house, rent a van, and cover the locals travel expenses. Aside from that, anyone who is interested in going on this next trip would need to raise their own money for expenses incurred, just like my kids did on the last trip.

If you would like to be a part of this ministry financially, we are going to have a fund set aside, and when we reach the financial goals, we will begin planning the dates.

I won’t begin putting a team together until we are able to plan the date for the trip.”


As of right now, we are hoping to return to PNG around late summer to early fall.
As we stated in this article, we can’t go if we are unable to raise the $65,000.

If you have anything extra and you feel God is leading you to donate to this ministry, ANY amount will make an eternal difference! In the meantime, we will continue to plan for our next trip and pray that God will lay the groundwork in Papua New Guinea.

Make sure that you don't miss Mike's new video from the Book of Revelation - The Four Horsemen are Unleashed today at 3:45 p.m.

As he teaches verse by verse through the Book of Revelation, the identity of these four horsemen is finally revealed! 

The problem with things like 𝑶𝒑𝒆𝒏-𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒔𝒎 or 𝑪𝒂𝒍𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒎 or even 𝑾𝒆𝒔𝒍𝒆𝒚𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒎 is that it defines God in a way that is palatable and yet wrong. One of the key elements of the nature of God is that he is undefinable. By his very nature, as the creator of all things, it is impossible for his creation to clearly define his nature. To do so would limit God to the language and the nature being used to define Him. 

For instance, God is both 3 and 1. To make it more understandable we could say that he is 1 being with three parts but that is not correct. He is clearly 3 and not just one. We could then say that he is 3 beings with a singular purpose but that is not correct either. “𝑭𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅” and clearly can only be defined as singular. Because all of that is true, we need to stop trying to define whether God is 3 or 1 and accept that he is both. The fact that we cannot describe that state is not a bug in the system it is a feature. 

Nature, mathematics, physics and philosophy are all wholly inadequate to describe The Holy God. God determined to approach mankind as he created us, in a finite environment. In that environment God expresses the ability to learn and based on that new knowledge, repent. This does not mean that God is less than omnipotent, just that he is interacting with us in a finite realm. Open theism is an attempt to define God's actions in an understandable and reasonable methodology. However, methodology, definitions and understanding are all utterly inadequate when it comes to a discussion of an infinite God.


God wrote every believer's name in the book of life and sealed it with the blood of Jesus Christ prior to the birth of Jesus Christ or the naming of each believer. Foreknowledge is an inadequate description, but it is the best we can do. It isn't just that God foreknew it is that he also experienced, walked with, talked to, lived with, and experienced eternity with each of us prior to the beginning of creation. God exist outside of time and time has no meaning outside of its own existence. If you're confused at this point don't feel bad so am I. Language, simply cannot define the infinite. 

Just remember, “𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒐 𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒐𝒏”.
