Mathematics, with a broad perspective. I teach basic algebra through differential equations, and have been working on number theory research. My main goal aligns with the mathematical treatise by Tina Cardone and the MathTwitterBlogoSphere (MTBoS), "Nix the Tricks": To teach mathematics at a deep level of understanding, without the use of "tricks," which cheapen students' appreciation for the subject, and often get in the way of their learning, in order to maintain short-term retention of facts.
