I received a question the other day about using Blender with multiple monitors. If you are using it with several displays, you can 'detach' a copy of your current 3D Viewport by going to View → Area → Duplicate Area into New Window.

If you have to make changes to the units of an entire project in Blender, use the Unit Scale. It is a quick way to change your units for all objects. It applies a multiplier to the scene. No need to use a transformation. And it doesn't result in scale factors.
