Scirens is a creative team at the intersection of science and storytelling focused on creating entertainment that encourages curiosity and imaginative thinking.
Founded by Taryn O’Neill and Tamara Krinsky, Scirens was built on the idea that entertainment could be used to encourage science literacy in the general public, as well as to encourage more truthful portrayals of women in STEM on screen. In recent years, a particular area of focus for Scirens has been the creation and support of more hopeful, proactive stories about humanity as it navigates climate change.

Creativity isn't the exclusive domain of the arts.
Critical thinking doesn't just belong in the lab.
Understanding the scientific method helps us find ways to approach the important questions in our lives.
And if young women can see female scientists on the big screen, they can see themselves in those roles in real life.
