Mainak Nag Chowdhury, aka Bumpy has been a globe trotting bass player, song writer composer music producer from Kolkata, India, who have taken the indian tricolour with his own music, with national and international collaborations, to 18 countries apart from the length and breadth of India
The wide range of music he's performed, written, arranged and recorded, range from RnB, Rock n Roll, Afro Cuban,  Afro Brazilian, Hindustani classical, Carnatic classical to Jazz.

Mainak is a disciple of  Amyt Datta, Monojit Datta, Vidvaan S. Shekhar, Pratyush Banerjee, Pt Tanmoy Bose, Kalaimamani R. Visweswaran, Madhav Chari, Kumar Mukherjee
He has endorsed  Schekter Basses and Ernie Ball Strings
He continues to create new music, with the likes of Kendraka, The Orient Express, Easy Riders, The Big Other,Ivy Banerjee Quartet, Bodhi and The Omega Force
